Planning an Ascent

Spratley & Partners has secured planning permission for ‘Ascent’, a 105,000 sq.ft GIA life science building for ARC Group’s (Advanced Research Clusters) campus in Oxford. ARC Oxford is a leading science campus, fostering innovation and collaboration among science and tech professionals.

The redevelopment presents a strategic opportunity within Oxford’s life science neighbourhood, offering essential lab space and stimulating economic growth. It is estimated to create approximately 500 jobs during its operational phase and contribute £38 million GVA to the economy annually. Construction is expected to begin later this year.

“We’re delighted to have secured planning permission for Ascent. This transformational project designed from the ground will provide a new home for businesses of all types including leading science and tech organisations. This latest development at ARC Oxford further supports our mission in attracting world-class talent, driving economic growth, and fostering continuous support for the innovation ecosystem in the City.” Dan Williams, ARC Oxford’s Director of Asset Management.
