Sarah Tassell Partner BSc (Hons) DipArch MArch
Sarah has extensive experience working with public buildings and heritage sites to reinvigorate and creatively adapt them in a sensitive and subtle way, problem-solving the respectful integration of contemporary design with traditional architecture. This experience, and her interest in creating high quality spaces for the comfort and enjoyment of many, has led to the success of internationally acclaimed Heckfield Place in Hampshire - the sustainable transformation of a Grade II Listed Georgian country house and the wider estate, cottages and biodynamic farm - and the regeneration of Hurley House, a destination boutique hotel and restaurant in Berkshire. Currently, Sarah is working on the restoration of a Grade II* listed Surrey manor house of national importance, returning it to a single-family residence with the addition of a bold contemporary wing.
She joined Spratley & Partners in 2008 after working at Hopkins Architects. Sarah became a Director in 2015 and an equity holder in 2023. Sarah is interested in our team and culture and manages staff development, apprentice mentoring and the promotion of flexible working.
