A new-build, replacement dwelling in a sensitive green belt location, designed to take advantage of the countryside setting and views.
The materials include patinated bronze and natural sweet chestnut cladding on a stone wall base to create a contemporary rural aesthetic. A floating, first floor bedroom offers spectacular views down the site and provides a sheltered entrance porch at ground level. Landscaping has been designed by renowned British designer Andy Sturgeon.
The project is aiming to achieve a Level 4 certificate under The Code for Sustainable Homes. A structurally insulated panel system (SIPs) will achieve a U-value significantly higher than current building regulations and heating will be generated by a ground source heat pump.
