S&P were engaged by M&G during the acquisition process and informed the feasibility stages. The brief was to reposition the partially let building to appeal to a wider audience.
The outcome is a building with enhanced roadside presence achieved by the new entrance proposal, a varied and flexible high-quality commercial space and an elegantly reconfigured reception and lounge area to bring the workplace community together.
The design approach was to make the most of the existing building features whilst creating attractive new office spaces that enjoy new electrical and mechanical services and a reinvented identity throughout. Circulation and washroom facilities were also upgraded and linked aesthetically with a new way-finding solution to complement the rebranding of the building.
