Hurley House
An 18-month refurbishment project transformed Hurley House from a run-down pub into a boutique hotel. The site has been home to a public house since 1896 and the design was sensitive to the original building fabric, retaining some elements as features of the new space. The building was extensively stripped back and rebuilt including the addition of a basement and side extension. The hotel incorporates a traditional English pub, restaurant, private dining areas and ten en-suite bedrooms.
The location of the site was paramount in the decision to refurbish the old pub into a luxury boutique hotel/restaurant and working with Spratley & Partners, a well-established local architecture practice, has delivered a lovely space that is really engaging our customers and has maximised the opportunity for commercial success. Hurley House Hotel is the result of real collaboration, of a team working together to ensure the best possible outcome.
