Moon Bar – Heckfield Place
The Moon Bar sits at the heart of Heckfield Place in Hampshire and was part of our extensive renovation of the estate. Our brief was to refurbish the room and introduce an element of modernity with a new polished brass bar that sat perfectly with the room’s Georgian features. We also needed to discretely integrate necessary fixtures and fittings.
The original marble fireplace and dark oak window linings and shutters were retained and repaired. The remainder of the outdated finishes were replaced.
Working alongside bwt London to design the fitted joinery, we overcame the challenges of fan coil units and grilles for air conditioning by concealing them, along with other equipment and services, within the new bar and oak cabinetry behind.
The restored room is a warm and intimate space for the exclusive use of Heckfield Place’s residents, the beautiful new bar and subtle contemporary touches complementing its quiet ambience.
A lot of care has been taken; the attention to detail is extraordinary. The historic property and grounds have been lovingly restored and future-proofed and we have had the luxury of time to do this. You can see it in the restored architectural details, the established, fruitful gardens, the complementary interior design.
